School has started. Sports and homework pile up unforgiving. You barely can handle  for the annual responsibilities and keeping your head above the water, no time for doing things that you enjoy, right? Much less time for more extra people, right? There is time in the day, it just might be at odd intervals. If you make something for someone else, it will make their day, and you'll feel incredible yourself. There's no excuse for waking up a little earlier and making a thoughtful gift when you have a little free time. So whoever you're you plan on making something for, I have a few ideas that are dirt cheap and mostly can be made quickly (or slowly accumulated over periods of time.)

Who doesn't need a planner at the beginnning of a school year? Especially one this cute? Credit and instruction here.

What better way to bring happiness? It's all compitable in a nice little box, so you can send it to someone who lives farway. Seriously, just looking at it makes you kinda happy.

These are made from strips of ribbon, lace, velvet, and odd pieces of jewelry. It's so cute and useful. This website also includes  24 other homeade gifts you can make. Credit here.

Cake in a jar-easy, single serve cups of cake. The possibilities are endless, and it's not as cliche as a plate of cookies (which are still delectible, just not as original). Credit here.

Hot chocolate truffle balls. Drop into a mug of warm milk and it turns into delicous hot chocloate. Great to bag up and put in a mug as a gift for when it cools down! Credit here

I hope these five random gifts help you think of a gift idea for someone that often gets overlooked (parents, grandparents, teachers, neighbors).

                                                                                           Happy gifting!

Hi guys!

The other day, I went into my sister's room and randomly saw Woody & Jessie. When I was little, I took them everywhere.  Not kidding! I would play with them before the food came to our table at restaurants, when my cousins came over, and just because I could.

Needless to say, they got pretty worn out. And now, years later, they are still working when you pull the string and no body parts are missing! (Bullseye isn't so lucky, :). However, grime from years of play kinda got to them. So, as I looked over their dirty body, I decided that I would do a simple little thing to clean their plastic parts, like the face. It's real easy and, most importantly, it works.

I couldn't focus on all the yuck, but you can see some of the dirt. (Before picture)

Here's what I did for my two ingredient, two step secret cleaning formula ~*~
STEP ONE Mix baking soda and water in a bowl, until you get a gritty paste.

STEP TWO With an old toothbrush, gently scrub a thing layer of the paste onto their face. Scrub for about ten seconds, then with a wet rag wipe the paste off. (You may need a Q-tip to get it from under their eyes and noses).

(after picture)

That's all. Really!  It's so easy to do, and easy to clean up. Did I mention inexpensive? These dolls are at over  ten years old too, and you can't tell at all. Did I just hear someone gasp? ;) good luck!

Sorry for not posting in a long time. Not that anyone reads it. Anyway, this Thursday I was going to go to my Grandparent's cabin in Arkansas. I cannot even describe how much fun and relaxing it is there. Seriously. I haven't been in almost a year, so I was really excited. Checked the weather today and turns out its going to be rainy all weekend and have severe thunderstorms. Literally washed my dream down the drain.

I don't know what I'm going to do this Spring Break. Hannah is going to be busy, and we can't go anywhere. I don't mean to sound selfish or anything, but I was really looking forward to going to the Cabin. I'll find something, I'm sure, but still, ya know?

Sorry I haven't posted in *gasp* almost two weeks. Anyway, I am really sad to see Dublin Dr.Pepper leaving. I never even tasted it. :( I'm sure it was waaaayyy better than Dr.Pepper. I'm determined to buy one on Ebay. Tomorrow I have practice for a compition like UIL. I'm in the writing catagory. The only part I'm sweating about is the time limit. Do ya'll have an iphone or ipod? If you do and have an Instagram app, look me up! I'm savannaholeary on there. I really need to go clean my room. But I really don't want to. I'll go see what my mom is doing.

Sorry for the random post! ;)

If you haven't heard of the Lucky Ducks, go read back a post and then go to luckyduckscompany.wix.com It's an obvious work in progress, but it' still fun to look at. Right now I'm watching Hoarders. I love that show! Have ya'll been on Pinterest? It's an awesome site. I'm Savannah on there, same profile pic as on there. See ya'll there!

How good and fresh it feels to be in a new year!! I have my year off to a steady start. I am going to finsih my book this year. I just have to. I deleted a whole bunch of pages. Now instead of having 112 pages, I have 88. I couldn't be happier though! I feel like writing more because I hated that part. I was going in a unrealistic direction, and now I'm back on track. Hooray! I also started with Hannah, at hannaholeary.blogspot.com, and Rachel at http://rarahopkins.blogspot.com/ a duck tape company!! email us at luckyduckscompany@gmail.com. We have very cheap prices. I think duck tape should be spelled duct tape, so that's how I'm going to spell it. I also got that room makeover!! Well, furniture wise. I am really happy. I know the whole year isn't going to be like this, (say hello to school on monday) but I can get through it. I know I can.
